Hello,

My name is Rex Gore.    I have served as your elected District Attorney since January 1991 .  When I assumed office, I had eleven employees.  Now I manage a staff of over thirty.  I want to thank you for the confidence you have shown in me and my team as you have supported us through the years. We want to continue to work for you. 

Our counties of Bladen, Brunswick, and Columbus have undergone much change through the years.  However, my personal commitment to this district as your elected District Attorney has not changed.  I promise to continue to lead a team of prosecutors and staff dedicated to fulfilling the mission statement I adopted when I took office.

Mission Statement

We will serve the people of the Thirteenth Prosecutorial District in such a way as to see that justice is accomplished. At all times we shall be zealous in the need to protect the rights of individuals and victims; but we will never lose sight of our primary obligation to protect the rights of society as a whole. Through our advocacy and practices, we will seek to improve the law, make the law conform to the needs of society, and ensure the delivery of justice to all.
